Proposed Grocery Store in Firebaugh, CA
This project was for the Community Facilities Challenge that is put on every year by Community Vision: Capitol & Consulting through Fresno State. This challenge allows students from the Interior Design and Construction Management programs to help community leaders on their projects. This year we were tasked with creating a grocery store in the city of Firebaugh, CA. I worked with 4 other students on this project; Tyler Duncan, Marisol Coria, from interior design and Jose Garcia, and Jesse Archan from construction management. We had a set of guidelines which included square footages for each department and our parking lot design. We were one of five teams that presented our proposal to the panel of judges selected by Community Vision. We were praised by the community vision staff and judges for our thoughtful design, hard work and resourcefulness. We were chosen as the winning team of the Community Facilities Challenge in 2020. Community Vision wrote a brief piece recognizing our work located on their social media.
